Our Story
The Beginning
Chelsea and Michael first met in 2019 in Richmond VA where Michael was completing his intern year of residency, and Chelsea was working as a travel nurse in the ER. They met at Väsen Brewery where they were surrounded by golden doodles and their favorite beers. On their second date they went to a Richmond Squirrel’s baseball game (GO SQUIRREL’S!!!). It was this date that Chelsea informed Michael she would be moving soon as her travel contract was coming to an end…
Spoiler: Chelsea did not leave. The real turning point in their relationship was when Michael asked Chelsea (and Kalani- the pup) to move in.
During their time in Richmond Chelsea and Michael enjoyed a lot of traveling-to Jamaica of course, concerts, and hanging out with their friends.
The Proposal
July 10, 2023 in Santorini Greece started out like any other day. They went for a hike up Skaros Rock (which Michael fell down), ate gyros, did some shopping, and got ready for a quick photoshoot (Chelsea accidentally turned her hair purple in the shower). The last stop of the photoshoot Michael got down on one knee shocking both Chelsea, and the photographer.
The Now
Chelsea, Michael, and their pup Kalani are now living in Fort Lauderdale FL where Michael is a board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon, Chelsea is a registered nurse in the trauma ICU, and Kalani is the queen of the castle.
